Mini sessions are shorter portrait sessions offered on select dates and locations throughout the year.
They’re usually about 20 minutes — enough time to get a good mix of photos without making it feel like a big production.

When is the best time to book a mini session?
I offer them throughout the year, but fall usually books the fastest because of holiday cards. If you have a specific weekend or time of year in mind, earlier is always better.
How long are mini sessions?
Mini sessions are about 20 minutes. It’s quick, easy, and just enough time to get a great mix without it feeling like a big production.
Do you only offer mini sessions on certain days?
Most mini sessions are scheduled on weekends when I stack a few together, but if you’re looking for something more flexible, I do offer individual mini sessions during weekday sunsets in San Clemente. If you’re good with a beach location, I’m always down to run down for a quick session.
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
We bribe them with sugary prizes… kidding. Kids are kids. I’m pretty good at getting through to them—I’m basically just a big kid myself. Half the time, whatever I’m doing to make the kids laugh ends up getting the parents laughing too, and that’s usually when the best moments happen.
What should we wear?
Keep it simple. Neutral tones always look good, and try not to overthink it. The goal is for everyone to feel comfortable and like themselves.

Most are held at set locations around San Clemente, Dana Point, or San Juan Capistrano. I choose spots that are easy, look great, and work well with the light so we can make the most of the short time.
