Planning a wedding at San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood?

San Clemente
Shore Weddings

San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood Weddings sits at the San Clemente Municipal Golf Course.

It has a relaxed golf course feel, coastal air, and everything close enough to keep the day moving.

Ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, family photos, and portraits can all happen without sending guests all over town.

Photographing
Weddings Here

This is one of those venues where local knowledge helps.

I’m right down the street from San Clemente Shore, so I know the light, the traffic, the coast, and the nearby places that can work if there is time.

The venue itself gives you enough for the full day.

But if the timeline allows, Calafia is close enough for a quick portrait stop between the ceremony and reception.

What Works Well Here

The ceremony area has a raised altar-style setup, which helps guests see and gives the space a little more structure.

The golf course gives you clean green space, trees, open shade, and simple backdrops for family photos, wedding party photos, and portraits.

The clubhouse and reception area keep everything connected, which makes the day easier for guests and gives us more time to photograph instead of driving around.

If you want more variety, Calafia is about a five-minute drive for quick beach portraits between the ceremony and reception.

There are also a few nearby alleyways and walls that can add a different look without taking much time.

And if you are into baseball, there is a historic little league field just around the corner that could be a fun stop too.

My Approach Here

I keep the coverage simple and realistic.

Use the venue well first.

Then, if the timeline has room, add a quick nearby portrait stop without turning the day into a photo shoot.

That balance works best here.

You get the full wedding day, the people who came to be there, and a little San Clemente variety without making everything feel overplanned.

Best Photo Areas

Golf course edges.

Clubhouse exterior.

Open shade around the property.

Reception space.

Nearby Calafia portraits if the timeline allows.

A few quieter local spots close to the venue.

Good Fit For

Couples who want everything in one place.

San Clemente weddings with a relaxed golf course feel.

Families who do not want guests moving between multiple locations.

Couples who want the option for quick coastal portraits without making the timeline complicated.

If that sounds like the kind of wedding day you’re planning, I’d be happy to help photograph it simply and keep the timeline easy.

Shorecliffs Golf Club?

San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood Weddings and Shorecliffs Golf Club are two different San Clemente wedding venues.

Both have golf course settings, but they are not the same place.

Q&A

Is San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood good for wedding photos?

Yes. It works well if you want most of the day in one place.

The golf course, clubhouse, reception space, and nearby coastal spots give you enough variety without making the timeline messy.

Can we take beach portraits after the ceremony?

Yes, if we build in enough time.

Calafia is close enough for a quick portrait stop between the ceremony and reception. There are also a few quieter nearby spots I like if the timing and light are better.

Do we need to leave the venue for photos?

No. You can do everything at the venue if you want to keep the day simple.

Leaving for a short portrait stop is optional, not required.

What is the best part about this venue?

The biggest advantage is convenience.

Ceremony, reception, family photos, and portraits can all stay close together, which makes the day easier for guests and gives us more time to photograph.

Do you know the area around the venue?

Yes. I’m right down the street from San Clemente Shore and know the nearby light, traffic, beach access, and smaller portrait spots around that part of town.
