Orange County
Wedding Venues
A curated look at wedding venues across South Orange County — from oceanfront views to historic courtyards and simple local spots that just work.
There are a lot of wedding venues across Orange County, but they don’t all offer the same kind of experience.
Some are built around ocean views, some are more private, and some are designed to keep everything simple and in one place.
Below are venues I’ve worked at and know well — along with what they’re actually like on a wedding day, not just how they look online.

San Clemente Wedding Venues
Casa Romantica
Casa Romantica is one of the most well-known venues in South Orange County.
It sits above the ocean, giving you coastal views without dealing with sand or heavy wind. The layout is simple, everything is close together, and the day flows naturally.
San Clemente Historic Cottage
The Historic Cottage is one of the more simple, local venues in San Clemente—and that’s exactly why it works.
Everything happens in one space, it’s just steps from the beach, and the whole day tends to feel relaxed instead of rushed.
It’s a great fit for smaller weddings or couples who want something clean, easy, and close to home without overcomplicating the day.
San Juan Capistrano Wedding Venues
Franciscan Gardens
Franciscan Gardens is a private courtyard venue where everything happens in one space.
Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all take place together, making it one of the easiest venues for a relaxed and smooth wedding day.
Not sure which venue fits?
If you’re still deciding between a few options or figuring out what actually makes sense for your day, feel free to reach out.
I can help you narrow it down based on timeline, lighting, and what kind of experience you’re looking for.
Dana Point Wedding Venues
Chart House Dana Point
The Chart House sits on the bluff overlooking Dana Point Harbor, with wide views stretching down the coastline toward San Mateo Point.
Weddings here are typically held earlier in the day, wrapping up before the restaurant opens, which gives the whole experience a more relaxed, daytime feel.
It’s a great option if you want an elevated ocean view without being on the sand, and a setting that keeps everything simple and easy to manage.
Dana Point Yacht Club
Dana Point Yacht Club sits right in the harbor with everything close together, which makes the day feel easy from start to finish.
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all flow naturally without needing to move people around, and the harbor setting keeps things clean and relaxed.
It’s one of those venues where the timeline just works—simple layout, consistent light, and enough space to keep things moving without it feeling rushed.
Wedding Photography Across
South Orange County
Most of the weddings I photograph take place across San Clemente, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, and Laguna Beach.
Each area has its own feel, different light, and a slightly different way the day flows.

Q&A
How do we choose the right venue?
Pick the one that fits how you want the day to feel. Everything else gets easier after that.
—
Do we need to visit venues first?
It helps, but not always. Once you narrow it down, one usually just makes more sense.
—
Are some locations easier than others?
Yeah. Some are more spread out, some keep everything in one place. That usually makes the biggest difference.
—
Can you help us figure it out?
Yeah—if you’re between a few, I’ll help you think through what actually works.
